The ruins of St Andrews Castle lie on a headland to the north of St Andrews.
The castle was once home to the bishops and archbishops of St Andrews - showing the power of the church in medieval Scotland.
Visitors can view the infamous bottle dungeon - John Knox and George Wishart are thought to have been imprisoned here.
You can also experience underground passages which tell the tale of medieval siege warfare.
There is also a visitors' centre where you can learn all about the castle's past.
