Due to open in July 2019, Holyrood will be Edinburgh's first single malt whisky distillery for nearly 100 years, and will also be a significant new visitor attraction in the capital, offering a variety of different experiences as well as evening hospitality options. With a focus on flavour, the visitor will enjoy a hands on, sensory experience to guide them through both the gin and whisky produced on-site. There will be a well-stocked shop which will be open to all, and the visitor will end their tour in the tasting bar, which offers stunning views over Holyrood Park.
Tours will accommodate up to 22 guests and range from the full distillery tour, separate Gin or Whisky experiences, to a 2-hour masterclass with head distiller Jack Mayo. Housed in a historic B-Listed former railway building, the visitor can catch a number 14 bus (or services to South Clerk Street, alighting at the nearby Queens Hall). We are a twenty minute walk from the Royal Mile.
