Head off on a journey of discovery in this 5 star former airfield and explore the history of aviation from the First World War to the present day. Fill your day with interactive exhibitions, supersonic experiences and historic hangars. Explore the site on foot or jump aboard the Airfield Explorer to tour our hangars and discover more than 50 aircrafts, including the chance to climb on board Scotland’s only Concorde. The National Museum of Flight houses the majority of the national aviation collections that are in the care of National Museums Scotland.
The site is wheelchair accessible and wheelchairs can be loaned free of charge. Visitors with disabilities can access all hangars by using the Airfield Explorer, however due to the historic nature of our collection some of the aircraft are not accessible to everyone.
