Wildlife

PuffinsThere is an abundance of wildlife to be enjoyed on both sides of the Forth.

Many historic houses offer gardens and walks teaming with wildlife – take a nature trail through the grounds and see what you can spot.

The Forth itself is home to lots of sealife – watch out for puffin, guillemot, razorbill and cormorant as well as more common sea birds.

A boat trip can be a good way to spot sealife – it you are very lucky you might spot dolphins, porpoises and even whales.

Along the Fife coastline are Tentsmuir National Nature Reserve and Eden Estuary Local Natural Reserve, north of St Andrews.

For guaranteed sightings why not visit The Scottish Deer Centre, Deep Sea World or St Andrews Aquarium.
