What a fabulous day!
We visited Stirling Castle, Culross, Dunfermline Abbey, Falkland Palace and town, etc. She made Mary Queen of Scots come alive , as well as explaining several Outlander sites in depth. Her knowledge and friendliness were exceptional..The following day we used Mary’s Meanders self-guided tour of Edinburgh. We found it to be very helpful, informative and enjoyable.

Why Choose Mary's Meanders?
Anne and Emma have been listening to customers over the last 9 years and responding to their feedback so they can improve their tours, create entertaining itineraries, choose the best places to eat, and arrange comfortable transport, so you don’t have to worry. We also offer:
Local insights
When you travel by yourself, it’s easy to fall into the typical tourist traps. When you join a Mary’s Meanders tour we take you to places that aren’t the usual sites and share insights about other places you’ll enjoy exploring, the best way to get there and other local tips so you get the most out of your trip.
Friendship
Arrive a visitor, leave a friend. That’s our philosophy. You’ll tour with people of all ages, from different countries and with different experiences. They have chosen to be there because they share the same interests as you, and that’s a great way to begin a friendship.
Great Support
Touring alone can often be confusing and complicated. With Mary’s Meanders, all you need is a good attitude – we’ll take care of the rest.
Outlander Tours of Scotland
Being on a Mary’s Meanders Tour is like travelling with friends who love sharing their favourite places and hidden gems with you, just as Outlander author Diana Gabaldon did when she joined us on tour in March 2019. If you’d like to discover the Scotland of your dreams and meet new friends while enjoying an immersive experience packed with history and culture, Mary’s Meanders tours are for you.
Ancestral Tour of Scotland
Step back into time and discover your family history with a bespoke, individually tailored genealogy tour of Scotland.
